On the northern edge of the city, Juanda National Park offers nice walks and good spots for picnics. This park is a conservation area which consists of rare species of plantations. Strolling along the park, you will find the underground fortifications made by the Dutch and the Japanese army. The Dutch tunnel is a built-up fortress attached to the slope of the hill. Furnished with cement and constructed as if it is a real building. It has metal gates at the entrance and exit area. There are plenty of rooms inside for storage and barrack, from ground to 2nd level completed with cement stairs and surveillance balconies. The Japanese tunnel is much more plain and unfurnished. It has only several long soil tunnels which connects the entrance to another exit on the other side of the hill and some storage areas. The Dutch army also constructed a tunnel to channel the water for a power station. This construction came in handy for the Japanese army who came later.

This park has a popular trail leads up through the Cikapundung gorge to Maribaya, Lembang. It takes around 1 – 1.5 hour walking through the park until Lembang area. On Sundays and public holidays the park is  more crowded than other days.
